Devlog: Gamemode System

by | Devlog, Featured

Hey all!

It’s been an exciting time working on our Gamemodes System, and I wanted to share the latest updates with you. We’ve made some solid progress across multiple game modes, so let’s check it out.

State of the Gamemodes System

We’ve been hard at work integrating some of the most popular competitive modes into the system. As of now, Team Deathmatch, Battle Royale, Capture the Flag, and Search & Destroy are available. Each mode comes with a set of customizable rules, so users can tweak them to fit the exact vision of their game. Let’s take a closer look at some gamemodes!

Team Deathmatch: The old classic, Team Deathmatch, was one of the first modes we started with, and we’ve been polishing it even more. You will of course be able to set kill streaks.

Battle Royale: The new classic, Battle Royale, has been refined to make it as customizable as possible for developers. We’ve added more options for zone shrinking, loot drops, and random starting points. You can tweak the size of the play area, the rate at which it shrinks, and even how much damage players take outside the safe zone.

Capture The Flag: Capture the Flag is feeling pretty solid right now. One of the things we focused on is giving developers more flexibility with flag capture zones. Now, you can set custom rules for flag respawn times, or even set flags to automatically return after a certain period. It’s all about making the options available to adapt the mode to your game’s needs.

Search and Destroy: Search and Destroy has come a long way. We’ve implemented customizable bomb planting and defusing times, and made it easy to adjust the number of rounds per match.

What’s Next?

We will continue to iron out issues and build on top of the great foundation we have so far. Please leave us comments and feedback on how we can make the system even better. If there are specific features or other modes you want to see, let us know!

Also, a huge thank you to our Patreon supporters. If you have already purchased assets and your heart feels like you want to do more to support us, come join your fellow community members in the Patreon Club!

Next week, we will take a first look at the Fishing System!

With kind regards,
