Key Features

This system is very extensive, the core features are as follows:

  • Managing Attributes
  • Managing State Effects
  • Extensive attribute management functions
  • Datatable driven

Attributes

They are defined into 6 main categories:

  • Non-Persistent_Character_Attributes
  • Persistent_Primary_Character_Attributes
  • Persistent_Character_Survival_Attributes
  • Persistent_Generic_Combat_Attributes
  • Persistent_Ranged_Combat_Attributes
  • Persistent_Level_Attributes

State Effects

The attribute manager has a state effect manager.

  • These state effects are fully driven by a data table.
  • These state effects can be activated or removed.
  • These states will be automatically activated based on your current state or even on consumption.

Several states:

  • Sick
  • Healthy
  • Infection
  • Wounded
  • Poisoned
  • Drunk

Misc States:

This affects the chill temperature of the individual.

  • Wet
  • Warming
  • On Fire

Temperature states:

Based on "external temperature", the temperature state is switched.

  • Be aware, the character also has a "Chill" temperature.
  • The chill temperature can differ per character.
  • This is dependent on a chill temp penalty.
  • The penalty is determined by e.g. clothing if is wet, or near a fire and warmed.
  • Each state has a screen animation effect.
Why Hyper?
  • The strongest public modular Unreal Engine framework available at this scale
Most studios keep tools like this internal. Hyper makes a serious technical foundation available to solo developers, indies, and teams.
  • Built from 75,000+ hours of Unreal Engine work
System design, Blueprint architecture, multiplayer patterns, documentation, testing, examples, iteration, and real production problem-solving.
  • Systems designed to work together
Inventory, crafting, equipment, interaction, UI, combat, attributes, multiplayer, AI, quests, dialogue, maps, progression, survival systems, environment tools, performance helpers, and more can all live inside one larger ecosystem.
  • Not a content dump
Hyper gives you working examples, modular structure, documentation, and patterns you can extend into your own game.
  • Made for serious projects, not just demos
Hyper is built around scalable architecture: gameplay tags, structured data, child Blueprints, clean overrides, reusable components, and clear project boundaries.
  • Start fast, grow cleanly
Use the included examples, replace visuals, adjust data, create child Blueprints, connect systems, and build toward your own game without rebuilding the same foundation from scratch.

I have experiemented with a TON of different Attribute systems looking for something that was extensibly built, attractive out of the box, well documented, and versatile. I wanted a module and spent a ton of money experiementiung with the majority of off the shelf systems available here at the marketplace, so i have pretty good grasp of what’s availalble. Hands down, without a doubt, Hyper Attribute Manager V2 is the most complete, most versatile, and best built Attribute Manager I’ve found by far. There are many good systems, but whenyou get under the hood and into the code of HyperGames Attribute Manager, it is SO CLEAN. The code is so soild and so elegant. Erik spends so much effort to not only write good code, but to also make it understandable, flow nicely, and be easy to modify. I am super impressed.Wind#2347

I recently started integrating this asset into my game. I am so happy with my purchase. The project is a bit complex for a beginner like me. After a couple of hours of browsing and studying the project, I managed to start integrating it with on my game. I am so amazed by how complete the project is. Can’t wait to start customizing it to my needs. I only wish other things such as the inventory blueprints were not part of the asset, since now I will have to spend a couple of hours cleaning the Attribute Manager blueprint to remove all the extras that I really don’t need. In conclusion, 9/10.

GAS has its benefits with its built in functionality, but also has a lot of draw backs. What Hyper has released here is a MUCH easier alternative to implement attributes. As far as i can see with respect to attributes, its got all the benefits of GAS (network replication, modularity, etc) with an added bonus of being incredibly easy to migrate into projects without having to use C++. If you are looking for a non C++ solution for attributes that’s capable, this one is an excellent investment. Cheers!

This is such a clean and professional system. It provides enough that you can use it as-is or easily customize it to your own needs. I needed to extend the system to apply specific “injury” effects to specific limbs, and managed to get that working in one short afternoon just by following the existing patterns. Really, the whole project structure is very easy to read and follow, and well documented to boot. Integrating with the other V2 Hyper packs is almost effortless. The author is also very active and helpful on Discord. This really is one of the best packs on the Marketplace.
