Spline

The Spline
tools generate controlled linear environment features such as fences, walls,
paths, and repeated meshes. Use them when placement needs to follow a designed
route rather than a broad biome or volume.

Your Game Environment
for the base world setup, then use spline tools for
authored linear features.

Use It When

  • You need fences, walls, roads, paths, or repeated
    meshes along a route.
  • You want designer-controlled placement without
    manually positioning every segment.
  • You need generated content to follow a path through
a biome, settlement, or gameplay space.

Integration Notes

  • Keep spline shapes simple until the result is
    visually and mechanically stable.
  • Check segment spacing, collision, and endpoint
    behavior after changing meshes.
  • If the spline intersects PCG vegetation or props,
use exclusions or filters so generated content does not fight the spline
    content.
  • Validate navigation and player traversal when spline
content becomes walls, fences, or blocking geometry.
